LEARN TO COACH AND GET PAID

SCQA Youth Coaching program is an opportunity for our High School players to learn to coach and work with others. As a Trainer, you will learn valuable leadership and management skills in a safe and constructive environment.

SCQA is developing a style of play that you will help teach our players. Our player development works on improving soccer fundamentals and creative play. We’ll use a series of small-sided games and activities to teach our players. You will organize and run the weekly Academy training sessions and share your enthusiasm for soccer with our younger players.

This is a great opportunity for you to teach and play soccer while earning a little cash.

We will need trainers this year for our U6 - U9 Teams. The anticipated training times will be:

8/6 - Bowl 5-6:30
8/9 - Big Howe 5-6:30
8/11 - Big Howe 5-6:30
8/13 - Bowl 5-6:30
8/16 - Big Howe 5:30 - 7:00
8/17 - Bowl 5:30 - 7:00
8/19 - Bowl 5:30 - 7:00
8/20 - Bowl 5:00 - 6:30

Complete online course training

PART 2

Participate in field training sessions (Aug)

PART 1
ONLINE COURSE - US SOCCER GRASSROOTS PROGRAM (16+ ONLY)

Complete the following online training courses 

  1. Introduction - 30 min 
  2. 4v4 - 2-hour session
  3. 7v7 - 2-hour session
  4. 9v9 - optional 
  5. 11v11- optional

PART 2
SC QUEEN ANNE FIELD DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS

You will work with other coaches and players from the club in open sessions to learn about our model while learning the games and activities we’ll be using.

  • 8 - 2 hour training session in Aug.
  • Location and time TBD

PART 3
PROFICIENCY DEMONSTRATION

Trainers will need to be able to set up, organize, and demonstrate the knowledge of the games and activities and show proficiency in the basic soccer fundamentals before being eligible to work with a team.


PART 4
GET COMPENSATED

You will be compensated for your time:

  • Volunteer hours earned for Parts 1, 2 and 3
  • Cash for Academy Fall Training Sessions

Trainers will need to become an independent contractor

Becoming an Independent contractor 

Soccer Fundamental proficiency requirements include Passing and Receiving, Dribbling, Skill moves, Running with the ball, Striking the ball, and Juggling.
