Modified (MOD) Soccer is a modification of the adult game for age-appropriate play and player development. We begin with small-sided 3v3 (no goalies) soccer and gradually expand the field and team size until U13. Small sided soccer is much faster-paced, and scores are higher than the traditional game. Players should play every position to improve player development.
Each year the team size increases. SCQA U8 – U10 teams stay relatively unchanged. We usually beginning combining teams at U11 because the team size increases significantly from 10 players to 14 players. We’ll work with the coaches and teams when this happens to help ease the process. We always encourage players to register and will work to keep teams together.  Â
